As part of Chevy’s #TheNew advertising campaign, they are redefining their brand. Chevy wants to offer “a whole new line up, for a whole new world.” Starting in this post and throughout the next several, we want to take some time to examine each vehicle and explain what features make it #TheNew for its category.

First on the docket will be the “New Connected,” the 2014 Chevy Equinox. The most notable feature of the 2014 Equinox is the Chevrolet MyLink system and myChvrolet app. These two technological advances work in conjunction to provide a more seamless interface between your phone and your car. With controls on the steering wheel as well as voice command access on Bluetooth enabled smart-phones, the focus can remain on the road where it belongs without you being totally isolated from the outside world.

The 2014 Chevy Equinox embodies the idea of the “New Connected” especially well for iPhone users with the new Siri Eyes Free feature. According to Chevrolet.com it “allows limited hands-free interaction for when you need to compose important messages on the go.” This feature is a focal point of one of Chevy’s latest TV spots.
