“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is destined to be one of the biggest blockbusters of the spring. After the millions of dollars made in the successful Marvel movies which attribute their comic book heroes in feature-length action films, it’s easy to see why.
Chevy has taken an interesting angle in partnering with the film. Check it out for yourself:
If you have seen the actual trailer for the movie, you’ll know that the spoof goes almost hand in hand with the real thing. This commercial is not your typical car commercial, simply showcasing the new features or portraying how happy you could be driving it. But, rather it creates brand equity by playing on the kid in all of us combined with some good natured humor.
Even down to the tagline that “for whatever size your hero takes, there’s the Chevrolet Traverse,” Chevrolet got this one right. They didn’t even have to mention the Traverse’s class-leading 116.3 cu. ft, cargo room or safety features like “Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning” in order to help sell the SUV.
