What do you think about when you think summer? Most people think it’s time for fun in the sun and trips to the beach. Well, if you are a parent, you might have a bit of a different view. Most parents drive their kids to numerous activities during the summer and spend a lot of time in their vehicle.
When you are spending that much time driving the kids around and basically “living” in your vehicle, there are certain things you want to make sure are handy. Below are a few tips we want to share with you in order to have a summer ready vehicle:
- First-aid kit: You never know what can happen when you take the kids to the playground, beach, hiking, etc. It is always best to be prepared for those scrapes that will more than likely happen.
- Blankets: You never know when a blanket will come in handy. If you are taking the kids out to the park, you could have a picnic and not worry about sitting on the ground. Also, if you go to the pool, you always want to pack extra towels for those wet bathing suits.
- Cash Stash: This is also referred to as “ice cream slush fund.” This will help if you are out and about with the kids then decide to grab some ice cream from the ice cream truck. This will prevent you from digging for money and it will make your kids very happy.
These are just a few of the tips that were found when the Cars.com staff was polled about what was important to keep in your car. All of us here at Suski Chevrolet Buick want you to have the best summer possible. Let us know if you have any other tips!
