As the seasons begin to transition, it is a great time to get out and experience some local cultural events. One way to do that is to enjoy the arts in the Flint, Michigan area. Here is a list of some fantastic shows and events you should consider attending.

  • The Watsons Go to Birmingham: 1963. Take a step back in time and see a glimpse of life from the point-of-view of young Flint-native Kenny Watson as he and his family take a fateful trip to Birmingham, Alabama in the summer of 1963. This play is presented at the Elgood Theater through February 26th.
  • Fahrenheit 451. See the iconic Ray Bradbury book brought to life in this thought-provoking one man show. It will be performed February 28th at The Whiting.
  • DRUMLine Live. Take your whole family to this show and experience heart-pounding rhythm, amazing energy, and high-stepping style. Come to The Whiting on March 3rd for a show unlike any other.
  • Friday Artwalk. On March 10th, visit downtown Flint from 6-8pm for the Friday ArtWalk. Stroll through the city streets and see original artwork from local artists while you enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes of the city.
