Chevrolet is pulling out all the stops for the new Camaro GT4.R racecar. Revealed last month, this impressive sports car comes ready to race straight from the factory, with a massive engine, tuned suspension, lightweight build, and more. Developed by Pratt & Miller Engineering, the new GT4.R racecar is bound to impress any driver.
According to Motor Trend, the new Camaro GT4.R will likely come with a 6.4-liter supercharged V8 engine that is paired with an Xtrac six-speed transmission and paddle shifters. This model also has a notable black grille that’s been optimized for airflow, while a massive rear wing improves aerodynamics at high speeds.
The GT4.R will debut at the Pirelli World Challenge in Florida, featuring driver Lawson Aschenbach. There’s little information on pricing for the upcoming racecar, but many are holding their breath as the new Camaro makes its first appearances.
Other features on the GT4.R include things like adjustable traction control, a limited-slip differential, Brembo braking, and adjustable ABS. You’ll also find a front splitter and lightweight materials. Despite a new aero package, the Camaro retains its classic look and athletic stance, something you can find on the standard Camaro edition. Though the new GT4.R is certainly impressive, there’s no word on production models anytime soon.
