With each new model year, Chevrolet seems to introduce a new iteration of its ever-popular Silverado pickup truck. For the 2020 model year, the Silverado variant will reportedly be the Chevrolet Silverado ZRX. Up until this point, we haven’t gotten a good look at this new Silverado model.
However, recent spy shots show what the Silverado ZRX might look like.
The spy shots, obtained by automotive website GM Authority, show a Silverado that looks similar to the Silverado Trail Boss model. This makes sense, as the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado ZRX is slotted above the Trail Boss in the trim lineup.
However, there appear to be several key exterior differences. Most notably, the rumored Silverado ZRX appears to have a shorter front bumper. This helps give the model an improved approach angle. It also looks like this new Silverado model has a larger, more robust suspension setup.
The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado ZRX model is rumored to come with a 6.2-liter V8 L87 EcoTec3 engine. When paired with the 10-speed automatic transmission, this powertrain setup produces 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
There’s sure to be more revealed about this exciting Silverado variant in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to the Suski Chevrolet Buick blog for up-to-date information.
