Whether you’re road-tripping through Michigan or you’re a local looking for a fun way to spend your weekend, Michigan has all kinds of roadside attractions you’ll never forget. Don’t miss these weird stops on your next trip along the Wolverine State’s highways.
Midwest Miniatures Museum
The Midwest Miniatures Museum, which just moved from Hickory Corners to the historic Nathanial Robbins Mansion in Grand Haven, is a truly unique attraction. You’ll see beautifully crafted miniature houses, scenes, and themed exhibits — and you can even take a class to make your own.
Located off US 23, Dinosaur Gardens is a 25-acre park featuring life-size statues of dinosaurs and tons of other dino-themed attractions like mini-golf. This is a great stop for families, especially if your kids are crazy about prehistoric monsters.
American Museum of Magic
Anyone interested in magic tricks and sleight of hand should pay a visit to the American Museum of Magic. You’ll find historic props here used by famous magicians, including the great Harry Houdini, and you can even catch a magic show.
You can’t go through Michigan without stopping by the infamous town of Hell. Take a selfie with the Welcome to Hell sign, buy some fun souvenirs, and even buy the privilege of being Mayor of Hell for a day.
Before you hit the road, don’t forget to have your car serviced at Suski Chevrolet Buick!
