The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado EV, set for a release in early 2024, is generating excitement for its possibilities and potential. Full specs and details are not yet public, but enough information is known to give us somewhat of a glimpse of the upcoming all-electric truck.
The 2023 Silverado EV will share a powertrain with the GMC Hummer EV. Despite this, the Silverado EV will still take on the characteristics of a classic electric pickup truck. Its expected that 400 miles of driving range will be possible thanks to the General Motors Ultium battery technology, which can accommodate a battery pack as powerful as 200-kWh.
All-wheel drive will come standard and up to three electric motors, depending on the trim level, will provide all the power you could want out of a truck; the combined horsepower from the three motors is expected to reach 1,000 hp.
Chevrolet hasn’t disclosed any information about pricing or trim levels beyond stating they will release a basic, stripped-down model for fleet purchasers that will have a lower price. Higher trim levels such as the LTZ and High Country are expected to be available.
Our team at Suski Chevrolet Buick is excited for the arrival of this new truck! Stay tuned for more updates.
