Buick is officially accepting applications for the Buick Achievers Scholarship until February 28. The Scholarship is funded by the General Motors (GM) Foundation and was created to help those pursuing degrees in engineering, design, information technology and business-related majors in the auto industry in order to make their dreams a reality.
“Since the inception of the Buick Achievers Scholarship Program, we have provided scholarships to more than 2,000 students from all 50 states,” said GM Foundation President Vivian Pickard. “This scholarship helps to change the lives of its recipients, making it more affordable for them to receive a higher education.”
This year, Buick will award 1,100 scholarships to high school or current undergraduate students. A $25,000 scholarship that is renewable up to four years and one additional year for qualified engineering programs will be awarded to 100 winners. The other 1,000 winning students will received a one-time $2,000 scholarship.
Since 2011, when the Buick Achievers Scholarship was created, the program has awarded nearly $12 million in scholarships. Read Buick’s press release to learn more about the scholarship program.
