It seems like Chevrolet is tapping into famous advertising ploys like the console wars, cola wars, and even the Mac vs. PC ads… there’s one twist, the only company it’s competing with is itself. That’s right; Corvette is doing some comparative advertising with the 2015 Chevy Corvette Stingray by offering two distinct packages that pit one side of the country against another like it’s the 90’s all over again.
“One of the design goals for the Corvette Stingray was to provide customers with the flexibility to tailor the car to their personality,” said Kirk Bennion, Corvette exterior design manager in a Chevrolet press release.
The west coast gets a track-focused Pacific Coupe. This 2015 Corvette Stingray is offered exclusively as a Z51-equipped coupe and features some custom design elements you won’t find anywhere else. One of the first things you’ll notice when you look at the car is a satin-black racing stripe that can accentuate the Torch Red, Arctic White, Blade Silver or Shark Gray paint job. We also really like the “CFZ” carbon fiber ground effects package and visible carbon fiber roof panel.
The east coast design is defined as a luxury GT-focused Atlantic Convertible. It is also available exclusively as a Z51, but is available in all colors of the 2015 Corvette Stingray. Some of its highlights include Shark Gray exterior vents, a hood “stinger” graphic, and tonneau inserts. It even comes with a set of custom luggage to really up the ante on anyone that wants to arrive in style.
Now the only question is what will the Midwest inspired 2015 Corvette Stingray look like and how can we get one here at Suski Chevrolet? We can’t wait to find out!
