The annual HealthPlus Crim Festival of Races is coming up! On Friday, August 21st and Saturday, August 22nd, the streets of downtown Flint will be packed with racers and spectators to support healthy living and fitness.
The Crim Fitness Foundation organizes several races throughout the year, the Festival of Races being the biggest. With bicycle racing, family walks, Special Olympics races, and events for the physically disabled like wheelchair races, Crim aims to show that good health and fitness are achievable for everyone.
Races begin Friday evening at 7pm with the festival going on from 4pm to 9pm and continuing Saturday from 8:30am to 2:30pm. Have some great food and a cold drink from the beer tent as you enjoy live music. For $10 you can join the Pasta Party on Friday night, which includes all-you-can-eat pasta and drink. Proceeds benefit the Shelter of Flint.
Whether you’re racing, supporting a friend or family member, or just going to the festival, the Festival of Races is a great community event, and we hope to see all of you there. If you’re driving in the area this weekend, be careful and look out for runners! Stop by the dealership while you are at it!
